How I Stay on Track in College

Image
Organizing yourself in college is crucial, especially when you are dealing with more than one class and project. I use Google Calendar and remind myself of everything. I also attempt to set aside at least one hour a day reading through notes or completing tiny tasks so that I don’t get too behind. Creating a support group, such as friends or advisors, has helped me also continue to be motivated. Time management as well as taking care of yourself are the most important things. I also enjoy reading from blogs such as  College Info Geek  for additional tips.

Life as a Computer Science Student

Majoring in computer science is rewarding as well as challenging. There are some days when we debug errors for hours, but there are also some days when we are filled with breakthroughs and “aha!” moments. I have also learned how crucial it is to be consistent, ask questions, as well as cooperate with people. What's most rewarding in this path is learning how technology can actually be used to fix real-life issues. If you consider majoring in CS, it's an excellent career path with limitless opportunities. Welcome to my Blog!

Hello everyone, my name is Chelsea Igiebor, and I'm a Computer Science major at Prairie View A&M University. I made this blog in order to track my student experience and development in tech. There are highs and lows in this industry, but daily, there is always something new, interesting, and innovative that I'm discovering. I also intend to use this blog as a platform in a bid to get women, in addition to underrepresented groups, into computer science. This blog is a reflection of my enthusiasm, and my hope is that you'll find something informative here!
